Prophecy is a GM-less, collaborative worldbuilding RPG for 1-4 players where you create the past and present of an imagined world and then reveal its future.

Alone, or in a group of up to four players, you’ll create a prophecy. Gameplay is largely improvisational – you’ll decide the features and actors core to your prophecy – however the major climactic questions will be decided by Fate. Fate speaks first through random draw, but as you reach the close of your prophecy you’ll be able to predict Fate’s decisions.

Play (virtually or in-person) with a group and complete in one session or play asynchronously via email, letter, or your favorite communication platform. When playing solo, you can leave off and pick back up again at any point.

This is a standalone game but it can also be used as a worldbuilding tool for your favorite campaign style RPGs. Incorporate a prophecy created with your players as the backdrop – can your players avert the doom foretold? What happens when one (or several) of the PCs sound like the Chosen One from this prophecy? – or a minor plot point in your next campaign.

This is a submission for Minimalist TTRPG Jam 4 and has no art and minimal layout.
